As I said in the About the Author tab, I want to start a camp for youth who have been abused or are dealing with issues of violence. It will have a focus on outdoor adventures and community service, with team dynamics, leadership, and nature education built into both (community service will include environmental and human-service opportunities). The camp will be open to all youth, with no pressure or requirement to attend religious activities, but staff will be trained, and administration will be led from a Christ-centered framework.
I don't profess to be able to do this all on my own. Yes, I have ideas written out- "blueprints," if you will, and some are must-haves, while others are a more flexible-but I need help to make it happen. I am a bit flexible about the governing structure, so if you are interested in being a part (or in learning more), let me know.
I might be looking for a co-director. I'll definitely be looking for other administrative staff, consultants, and for funds/ free services. So let me know what talents and gifts you might like to put into action.
